In the Neuromorphic Computing department, we search for a
Master Student (m/f/d) (non paid)____________
Your tasks:You will be integrated in a small team of neuromorphic computing researchers at fortiss. You will be working on an object identification sensor based on event camera and neuromorphic processing, in simulation. This work, which bases on a prior non event-based prototype, is part of a project with a very large industrial partner. You will learn about the existing frame-based camera sensor, do literature review about event-based vision and implement a much faster sensor in simulation on an asset monitoring use case. You will use the Neurorobotics Platform simulator. A publication, in a scientific journal or conference, as a co-author of your supervisor, is most likely expected at the end of your mission.
- Excellent bachelor’s degree in computer science, machine vision or software engineering
- Excellent track record in your current masters
- Experience in software development (Python, C++)
- Interest or experience in machine vision, event-based cameras, sensors
- Work in partnership with leading companies in AI
- Offices in central Munich (Nordfriedhof) in very high and modern premises with 360° view on Munich
- Nice working atmosphere in a small team
